In a recent interview with Ryan Satin, Stone Cold Steve Austin commented on several current WWE Superstars. He praised Bayley for her heel work and even went on to say she is one of the most entertaining heels in the wrestling business.
“Well, I’ve said in the past, Bayley … when she turned heel, I think she was one of the most entertaining heels in the business. There’s layers to her work,“ said Austin.
He continued, “From the female standpoint – Charlotte just came back and just started tuning in to see what she’s got going on, and Becky Lynch left to have her baby – but, right now, I really like Bayley’s heel work. I’ve been watching it and liking it for quite some time. “
Bayley turned heel in October 2019 when she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair for a second time. This came just five days after losing the title to Flair at Hell in a Cell. Coming from the squeaky clean babyface persona Bayley had held for her entire WWE career, it was a huge shift for her to accomplish. It had its rocky beginnings, but Bayley certainly zeroed into being a heel throughout the year 2020.
Bayley will be the guest on Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions which will air on the WWE Network this Sunday.
