Bayley speaks out on her WrestleMania 37 status

The absence of Bayley from the WrestleMania 37 card had confused fans

Bayley is one of the most popular women in WWE, and was a focal point of the company in 2020 during her storyline with Sasha Banks. Despite being the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion, and being involved in some standout WWE matches, Bayley is not on the WrestleMania 37 card.

Online, fans have been questioning Bayley’s WrestleMania 37 status. The role model hasn’t had a match since late February, and hasn’t been on television for weeks.

In a recent interview with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Bayley appeared to confirm that she hasn’t had a WrestleMania match planned. When asked about what the plans for her were this weekend, she said:

“I cannot give you an honest answer, dude. I don’t know. I’m sorry guys, it just didn’t happen. Even if there was something, I don’t know if I would tell you guys to spoil it. But yeah, it’s OK. I’ll be here for a long time. I might just jump the barricade and steal my own moment if they won’t give me one. I’ll just steal it.”

Bayley also opened up about pitching ideas for herself at WrestleMania 37

Bayley had some ideas of her own for WrestleMania 37

In the same interview, Bayley also revealed that she had pitched storylines for herself at WrestleMania 37. This included her having a non-title match. On this, Bayley said:

“I’ve pitched for stuff for this past WrestleMania just because there has been so many instances this past year where the pitches have gone through and it becomes easier to talk to certain people. My brain actually started working developing the more experienced I got. So yeah, there’s always ideas like that. I don’t know how it goes for other people, but it’s definitely open.

She continued:

“I would have loved to have had a non-title match at WrestleMania. Just a grudge type of match. Something that meant, not more than a title, but was a little deeper than a title. But, there’s always next year.”

“I’m just so happy that more women are going to be represented and I know the two title matches are going to be killer so we can’t really be bummed out about it, we got to look at the bright side I guess.”

Bayley is one of many notable women missing from the WrestleMania card. This year, the only one of The Four Horsewomen currently on the card is Sasha Banks, with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch both omitted.
