Bayley Wins In Raw Main Event, Challenges Belair At Extreme Rules

Damage CTRL continues to dominate the women’s division on Raw.

In an early segment on the Sept. 19 episode of the red brand, Damage CTRL celebrated their Women’s Tag Team Title win from last week. While the trio was embracing the crowd being in Bayley‘s hometown, they were quickly interrupted by Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

Bayley continues to taunt Belair by telling her that she will get a championship match when and where she wants. She would turn her attention to Bliss. The two have not been one-on-one since 2019 and they were in the same building that Bliss had defeated Bayley to win her first Raw Women’s Championship five years ago.

Bayley called out Bliss for not having the bite she used to have and a quick attack from Bliss on Bayley ended up booking them in the main event.

For the main event, SKY and Kai were at the side of Bayley while Belair and Asuka accompanied Bliss. Asuka kept ahold of Lilly during the match. A video package of Alexa was aired before the match and commentary spent a lot of time focusing on the history between both Bliss and Bayley.

The match started to reach its ending when Bayley tried to cheat to get her win with her legs up on the middle ropes. Belair would knock her feet off causing her only to get a near fall. This would cause outside scuffle between the four outside the ring. Bliss would try to get the victory off of a Twisted Bliss but Kai distracted the referee allowing SKY to knock Bliss off the top turnbuckle. Bayley would land the Rose Plant to get the pin and victory.

After the match, Auska and Belair would try to fight off Damage CTRL who ganged up on Bliss but they would all end up isolated giving the control to the powerful trio. Belair would fall victim last, and Bayley finally let her know when and where she wants to challenge for the Raw Women’s Title. At Extreme Rules.

Damage CTRL would stand tall as the show went off the air.

The only other woman on this week’s show was Rhea Ripley who would continue her dominance in Judgment Day including getting involved in the men’s match going after Matt Riddle.
