Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women’s Champion as she defeated Liv Morgan in the main event of this week’s RAW.
Liv Morgan received her first singles championship match and what better way to do so then in the main event. Today was also the historical 17-year anniversary of Trish Stratus and Lita‘s infamous main event match on RAW which made the women main eventing mean that much more.
There were many moments where Morgan was close to winning her first championship in WWE. In the back half of the match, Morgan drops Becky with an enzuigiri followed by a Thesz press.
Moments later Morgan hits a missile dropkick for a near fall before locking in the Rings of Saturn. Lynch escapes into the Disarmher. Morgan makes it to the ropes for the break and gets a near fall from an inside cradle. Lynch goes for the ManHandle Slam but Morgan continues to avoid that finisher. Lynch gets the pin on Morgan the same way she did Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series when she grabs the bottom rope and gets the three count.
Post-match, Lynch celebrates on the ramp as Morgan is left in the ring disappointed.
With Lynch cheating to win, will Morgan get her rematch at the Day 1 pay-per-view?
Elsewhere on RAW, two other women’s matches took place.
Queen Zelina defeated Nikki A.S.H.
One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina (with Carmella) went one-on-one with Nikki A.S.H. Zelina continues her winning ways as she hit a code red to defeat Nikki. After the match, Rhea Ripley joined her tag team partner in the ring where Nikki seemed fed up with her losing streak.
Bianca Belair defeats Doudrop via count out
Bianca Belair and Doudrop finally went one-on-one as their rivalry has feud into a lot of bad blood between them. As Belair was making her way to the ring during her entrance, Doudrop attacked her from behind.
In a great match between the two, Belair attempts to put Doudrop away with the KOD but is unable to execute it. Doudrop escapes as she exits the ring and walks away with the referee counting to 10. Belair won by count out. Things definitely aren’t over between the two.
Dana Brooke had to watch herself as the 24/7 Champion as she has now surpassed Carmella as the longest-reigning woman to hold the title. She was met backstage by R-Truth and Akira Tozawa before Reggie joined her to finish their conversation from last week.
Reggie helped save Brooke from a potential title change as Tamina came racing towards her with a referee in tow.
