WWE broke the news earlier today that yet another women’s match will be added to this Sunday’s card.
After a couple of weeks of their feud, Becky Lynch and Mickie James will settle their rivalry this Sunday at Elimination Chamber in a singles contest!
Though James returned at NXT TakeOver: Toronto in a losing effort against Asuka, she would make her official return on the January 17th edition of SmackDown Live. For a few weeks prior to this she was disguised as La Luchadora. But, after assisting Alexa Bliss to the win in a Steel Cage match, her mask would be pulled off, and thus revealing her as the woman behind the victory.
Since then her and Lynch have been feuding. Whilst Lynch feels cheated out of the SmackDown Women’s championship, James announced that she returned to rewrite her “forgotten” legacy.
Lynch managed to somewhat overcome her rival during the Royal Rumble, where she teamed with Nikki Bella and Naomi in a winning effort against James, Bliss and Natalya. Though, it was Naomi who would pick up the win for the team.
With this now being added to the Elimination Chamber card, we now have three women’s matches to witness this Sunday!
Last Tuesday, SmackDown Live announced two matches for Sunday night:
Alexa Bliss (champion) vs Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s championship
Nikki Bella vs Natalya
You can catch the event this Sunday, February 12th at 8ET/5PT on the WWE Network!
