Becky Lynch will pull double duty at Money in the Bank

Becky Lynch will officially defend both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank. Tonight, Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley for the chance to challenge Lynch at the event.

Earlier this week, WWE scheduled a match between Flair and the Man for this week’s episode of SmackDown. Instead, Charlotte came out to the ring and lamented about how Lynch won her title without having to pin her. She contended Becky beat Ronda Rousey, not her.

Eventually, Lynch came out to confront her, followed the former Raw Women’s Champion, Bayley. They both told Charlotte she should go to the back of the line and allow another woman to have the opportunity to challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. This all lead to a number one contender’s match between the Queen and the Hugger.

It was a close match, but Charlotte targeted Bayley’s knee, picking up a narrow win the Figure Eight Leg Lock. Now, Becky Lynch will have to pull double duty at Money in the Bank.

Lacey Evans defeated Natalya last week on Raw to become the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. In addition, there could be the threat of a Money in the Bank cash-in attempt depending on where each match falls on the card.
