Women’s Wrestling fans were waiting on some returns for the start of WWE’s partnership with Netflix. On Jan. 6, Liv Morgan lost the Women’s World Title to her long time rival Rhea Ripley. One woman who could have benefited from this moment would have been Becky Lynch.
A return at this time would have been perfect for Lynch. She spent the first half of 2024 in feuds with both Morgan and Ripley. However, The Man was not part of the show. Instead, we got The Undertaker?
According to a report from Cory Hay’s from Bodyslam.net –
“The initial, from what I heard, Becky Lynch was scheduled to appear tonight. She was in town. She was scheduled to appear within that Women’s World Championship segment. But instead, you got an Undertaker appearance.”
Whether or not The Undertaker spot was originally for Lynch or not, it was confusing. Commentary played it off that The Undertaker was out there (in his American Badass gimmick) to represent the fact that he was in the main event of the first ever Raw in 1993. Why they picked THIS moment for this was certainly an odd one.
Lynch’s return does reman imminent.
