Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch are set to run it back once again as the two will challenge each other at the very event that housed Lynch’s return last year. For this year’s SummerSlam, Belair is once again champion but this time she knows Lynch will be her opponent. The two women after a full year of an on and off again rivalry had their animosity peak on this week’s Raw.
Belair first made her way to the ring and before she could get a word in, Lynch’s music hit and she would head to the ring as well. As Lynch was entering, Belair wouldn’t let her SummerSlam opponent talk so the two ended in a brawl. The fight had a lot of potential to go more after they spilled over the announce table but they were pulled apart by officials.
There was only one match on this week’s show and it was Alexa Bliss vs. Doudrop. Doudrop had Nikki A.S.H. for her at ringside while Bliss was solo despite teaming with Asuka recently. Prior to the bout, Bliss would have a backstage segment where she said regardless of who walks out of SummerSlam as the Raw Women’s Champion she will have the next title shot.
Despite Nikki getting involved, Bliss would continue winning by picking up the victory on Doudrop after hitting her DDT.
In an unaired moment that happened during commercial break, Doudrop refused to leave the ring after she was defeated by Bliss. She said she would have to physically be removed. Ronda Rousey appeared to put Doudrop in an ankle lock as Nikki fled.
Rhea Ripley returned and helped her Judgment Day stablemates in an attack on the Mysterios. You can read more on that by clicking here.
Maryse also appeared and was in a segment with The Miz and Logan Paul along with her balls purse.
