Bianca Belair is still the Raw Women’s Champion after defeating WWE Official Sonya Deville.
In Belair’s hometown of Knoxville, Deville continued to abuse her power by changing the rules of their match. The rules first changed when Deville was quickly tossed over the announce table early in the match. After being counted out, Deville made the match a no count-out match and had the bout restarted.
Next, after a fight at ringside between them, Deville brought a chair into the match which caused a disqualification. Deville then made the match a no count-out, no disqualification match. She had the match restarted yet again and brought out Carmella and Queen Zelina to do her dirty work as the match quickly became three-on-one. Despite Carmella and Zelina having a falling out after losing the tag team titles at WrestleMania, apparently, they are back as a team.
Belair fought her way battling all three women and came out looking strong in the 3-on-1 attack. She put Deville away with the KOD. She retains in her hometown as she celebrates with the crowd.
Moments later backstage, Deville was unhappy with the one job she expected Carmella and Zelina to accomplish. In exchange for the duo helping Deville win the championship, she was going to reward them with a tag title shot. But this never happened. Zelina started talking back to Deville which wasn’t a good idea as she was slapped across the face.
Carmella attempted to slap Deville but was stopped. Deville reminded her that she is still her boss and a WWE official. Deville then slapped Carmella as well to end the segment.
Another match on Raw was a mixed tag team match between the newlyweds. Tamina & Akira Tozawa took on 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke & Reggie. 24/7 Champion rules were suspended during the match and R-Truth was the referee. The match was won by Tozawa and Tamina after Tozawa hit a senton and pinned Reggie.
After the match, Dana was vulnerable as champion. She was able to escape but only after Truth tried to pin her and count to three for himself.
Rhea Ripley was being interviewed backstage about her actions last week. She turned on her former tag team partner Liv Morgan. She gives the reason that she is tired of tag team partners pulling her down to their level and making her weak.
Morgan had heard enough and came rushing in as the two brawled and had to be separated by officials.
Morgan also battled Nikki A.S.H. on this week’s taped Main Event.
Asuka made her return to Raw as she confronted Becky Lynch. You can click here for that story.
