Nikki Bella and Brie Bella were interviewed by E!‘s Maria Menounos at NBCUniversal’s 2016 Upfronts in New York City. During the interview Nikki and Brie discussed Nikki’s wrestling future, what to expect on Total Bellas and more.
On Nikki’s return to the ring: “My bone looks like it’s fusing, which is crazy, but I’m hoping that in July when I get my CAT scan everything will look good and I’ll make my way back to the ring, so that’s what I’m hoping for – watch out SummerSlam and Charlotte.”
However, Brie expressed concern over Nikki’s in ring return saying: “I think she’s crazy. I’m like, “you’re lucky you have your health, you walked out of the ring”, but you can’t stop her.”
On Total Bellas becoming a spin off series: “It’s honestly surreal. It’s a dream the fact that it even happened,” Nikki says. “We can’t believe it.” “We’re really excited,” Brie adds. “I’m really excited for everyone to see through Bryan’s eyes and his perspective and get him into the interview chair.”
On what to expect on Total Bellas first season: Brie and Daniel Bryan move in with Nikki and her boyfriend, John Cena, while filming the show.
“I ended up realizing Bryan and I are messier, but it’s because we don’t feel the need to stress out to get everything straightened out right away,” Brie says. “All I’m saying is that there was one of us who had a mental breakdown during the time being there.”
“And there was a wedding and a pregnancy,” Nikki continues. “We have a very fertile home, I guess.”
