Cryssi’s Pick: Daniel Bryan proposes to Brie Bella on Total Divas
If you know me, follow me on Twitter, or have had the privilege of reading any of amazing Reduxes, then you should know that my Moment of the Year involves the powerhouse supercouple affectionately known as “Braniel.” Due to reasons outside of my control, I was very late to the Total Divas finale party but believe me when I say that the final episode of the successful first season was everything I wanted it to be and more. Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan finally got a chance to be alone and took a little trip up to Big Sur, which is an absolutely beautiful place in California.
The stage was set for something memorable for my favorite couple and after seeing the previews, I knew a proposal was coming. What I didn’t expect was to end up sobbing all the sleeves of my Chicago Bears’ hoodie while Daniel popped the question and then surprised his new fiancée with an engagement party. Brie and Daniel’s respective families came together for the first time to celebrate and everything about the moment was so perfect and so special.
Thanks to Total Divas we got a chance to know these two off camera and together and for that, I could not be happier. I may not know either of them personally, but they fit together so well. It wasn’t like the proposal was their only cute moment. It just seemed like every time they were together, the collective awwwwws could be heard around the world. If there was one moment that could top their proposal it would be a single moment backstage during Raw where their relationship was first acknowledged on camera. A simple little hug as Daniel Bryan walked backstage towards the stage, eventually to the ring… and that was it. I was done.
All things Braniel are adorable to me, but that proposal was something out of a dream.
