Divas Champion Beth Phoenix sent out a flurry of tweets today continuing her recent “no competition” shtick.
The Divas Champion wrote: “Having a nice quiet lunch at MCafe. Stewing in my thoughts. Im sick of being pushed aside and forgotten about. I am the Divas Champion and I get ZERO respect. I should be featured in magazines, being a guest star. The entire WWE has it all backwards. I AM the face of the Divas.”
“I am tired of having no competition and being pushed aside. Its time to do something about it. All I hear from the @WWEUniverse is how unappreciated I am.You’re right. I’m sick of taking a back seat. I am a role model. I deserve more.”
Perhaps Beth’s tweets are to help set up the rumored Divas match involving Maria Menounos at WrestleMania? The timing would be right.
While Beth’s tweets are no doubt in character, some of what she says certainly rings true. Beth has barely been seen on Raw or SmackDown since her Divas Title defense at Elimination Chamber. In that sense, she has been pushed aside. It will be interesting to see what comes of this and what she means by, “It’s time to do something about it.”
