Bianca Belair defeated Kairi Sane on the Dec. 1 episode of SmackDown. This was Sane’s first singles match back in WWE in three years.
SmackDown started off with Belair in the ring and a mic in her hand. Despite fighting with Damage CTRL for what seems like a lifetime, she isn’t done with them yet. She wants to be back on top and wants to take the WWE Women’s Championship back from IYO SKY.
Damage CTRL emerged onto the stage (without Bayley). Dakota Kai explained that Belair can get that title opportunity but she would need to go through all members of Damage CTRL first. Charlotte Flair and Shotzi made their way out to even the odds. And the six women (minus Bayley and of course Kai who is still injured) entered into a brawl.
Moments later, Damage CTRL were walking backstage and met up with Bayley. Bayley seemed confused and was wondering why they didn’t tell her that they were going out there. Kai tried to convince her that it was nothing and that Sane now needs some words of wisdom from Bayley as she takes on Belair in the main event.
As the main event comes, Kai checks on Bayley to see if she is okay and Bayley turns the focus on Sane for her match. However, as they head out to the ring, SKY tells Bayley not to join them.
During the match, Belair gets tripped up by Asuka which the referee didn’t see. Then, Flair trips up Sane in plain sight which causes the official to ban Flair and Shotzi from ringside. Asuka would hop in the ring during the chaos and try to go after Belair but ahe was caught by the official. The ref then banned Damage CTRL from ringside.
Eventually, the one member who wasn’t banned, Bayley, would make her way out and pulled on Belair’s braid taking her down on the apron. Sane surprised to see Bayley out there gave her a high five before going up top. This took too long and Belair moved before Sane could execute the Insane Elbow. Belair delivered the KOD for the win.
The dark match before the show was Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Michin and Zelina.
