Bianca Belair took to Twitter recently to get in the head of her future opponent Shayna Baszler.
Belair won a fatal four-way match, this past week on NXT, to become Baszler’s number one contender for her NXT Women’s Championship. This will be Belair’s first championship match that is televised.
Belair’s taunted Baszler, after Baszler posted on social media about UFC 232.
Baszler, with the aide of a fan’s photo, made her feelings known about the UFC 232 event. The tweet is of a wrestling fan with a sign that states “UFC is fake.” Wrestling being fake is a constant hot button issue with some fans, but a running joke with others.
The UFC event featured a fight between Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes, and Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg. Nunes moved up in weight to face Cyborg in the featherweight weight class.
Nunes won the fight in 51 seconds to become the Featherweight Champion. This result has made Nunes the first person to ever become a champion in two different divisions simultaneously.
When Baszler was in UFC, she lost a previous fight against Nunes. Cyborg has also fought Baszler, with a win as a result. Knowing this, Belair had the following to say to the “Queen of Spades”.
Belair, who is currently undefeated, wants to let her competitor know that she will take care of business at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. The first ever two-time NXT Women’s Champion did bark back.
Although Baszler was defeated by two of UFC’s premier athletes, she makes a valid point that the self-proclaimed “EST” didn’t have the same path to the squared circle. Perhaps the WWE powers that be will catch wind of this altercation and add a cage stipulation to their match?
Check back with Diva Dirt in the upcoming weeks for further build up to this match at TakeOver: Phoenix.
