With all signs pointing to Bianca Belair facing Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania, nothing is certified until the announcement has been made. It is being advertised for tonight’s SmackDown that the Royal Rumble winner will be giving us her answer.
The official preview reads:
At the 2021 Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair outlasted 29 other Superstars to triumph in the Royal Rumble Match, giving her the opportunity to headline WrestleMania against whichever World Champion she chooses.
With speculation at a fever pitch, will she select SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks on The Grandest Stage of Them All, a Superstar whom she has exchanged words and even teamed with in recent weeks? Might she pull a Charlotte Flair and select NXT Champion Io Shirai? Or does the up-and-coming Superstar think she is ready for Raw Women’s Champion Asuka?
Leading up to the Royal Rumble, Belair had been in a heated rivalry with Bayley. Since then she has been playfully having words with Banks while teaming up with her. Last week, she partnered with Banks alongside Reginald. They were able to pick up the win against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Bayley. They then faced the Women’s Tag Team Champions (Jax & Baszler) at Elimination Chamber but were unable to capture the gold.
