Big Swole has confirmed that she has signed with AEW. The news was confirmed in an interview with Fightful Select‘s Jeremy Lambert this past weekend at WrestleCade.
Big Swole first appeared for AEW during the Casino Battle Royale at All Out back in August. She returned to the company this November for AEW Dark where she teamed up with Mercedes Martinez to take on Allie and Sadie Gibbs. After the match reports swirled around that she had signed with AEW, however neither company nor Big Swole commented on the situation.
She continued to impress on AEW Dark over the past few weeks facing off against Shida, Shanna, Britt Baker and Riho. Her show-stealing appearances added further speculation to the signing rumours, which have now been confirmed.
Big Swole is a fantastic addition to the roster bringing bags of talent and charisma to boot. The potential matchups are genuinely exciting and at her most recent appearance, she showed off her mic skills with a great promo. She could instantly fit into the title picture by mixing it up with the best AEW has to offer, both in the ring and on the mic.
She is currently the Phoenix of RISE Champion as well as one-half of the SHINE Tag Team Champions with Aja Perera. So she could be splitting her time between AEW and the indies for a while or until she drops the titles at least. The details of the deal between AEW and Big Swole are yet to be disclosed but the highest priority must be to get her winning matches on Dynamite, climbing up the ranking system and giving the division a much-needed boost.
