Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are taking the women’s division by storm by teaming up to knock down their competition. The pair recently spoke to Fox Sports about their career goals including introducing an NXT women’s tag division, their friendship, and more.
On introducing a women’s tag division: “That was the first thing we discussed before we even got to the WWE,” Royce said. “We wanted to pioneer the women’s Tag Team division. That has always been a goal for us and I really think we’re getting close to that point. It is possible and I’m positive in time that it can happen.”
On their friendship: “Peyton and I are best friends,” Kay said. “We went to school together, wrestled together, and came over to America together. I remember being in a taxi with her and we said to each other that we would do the whole thing together. With Emma (who is on RAW) and Peyton and three other Aussies at NXT (Buddy Murphy and Tag Team TM61), we’re proud to represent our country and feel like we have a group.”
“I’m so thankful that I have her,” Royce said. “The process of just even signing our contract was confusing and such a long process. We’d be talking every day asking where we were up to on the contract or figuring out what to do.”
NXT makes its touring debut in Australia on Thursday, December 8, at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena. The tour continues in Newcastle, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth.
