Yes, you read that correctly.
As if the Money in the Bank pay-per-view couldn’t become anymore crazy, both the women’s and the men’s MITB Ladder Matches will take place at the same time. Simultaneously. Side by side.
On tonights Friday Night SmackDown, Carmella became the last woman to qualify for the ever unique ladder match at MITB. News broke weeks ago that this year’s event would truly be different.
With the current landscape of a global health pandemic and the current norm of wrestling, the event was obviously going to take place without a crowd in attendance. From this, WWE spawned a new idea. Let’s make the competitors fight it out at WWE Headquarters.
The match is being ushered in as a more cinematic approach and will start on the ground floor of the HQ in Stamford, CT. The participants will have to make their way to the roof. Once there, they will have the ring, plenty of ladders, and the briefcase hanging from above.
Now things have morphed yet again. The new twist is that both the women’s and the men’s MITB matches are happening at the same time. WWE pleased most fans with their Boneyard Match and Firefly Funhouse concepts from WrestleMania. Could this be a similar feel?
