Former WWE Performance Center developmental talent Brandi Lauren is said to be serving as one of the two alternates for the ROH Women’s Championship Tournament. Laynie Luck is the second.
Lauren was released from WWE in May alongside other NXT talents such as Vanessa Borne and Jessamyn Duke. Outside of WWE, she is known for her time with EVOLVE, SHINE, and IMPACT Wrestling.
This news for Lauren and Luck comes from ROH’s official website on the latest Eck’s Files blogs.
Per ROH:
Brandi Lauren and Laynie Luck have been named alternates for the tournament.
Lauren was trained by Jay Lethal and has been wrestling for five years. She has competed in NXT and Impact.
Luck, a six-year veteran, made her ROH debut in April, when she and Hyan wrestled Max The Impaler and Rok-C to a 15-minute draw.
Obviously, no one wants to see any of the current 15-participants in the tournament needing to be replaced, but both of these women would be great additions. Hopefully, we will see them both in ROH regardless.
