Brandi Rhodes to serve as Chief Brand Officer of AEW

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) distributed a press release today for their upcoming rally at TIAA Bank Field, in Jacksonville. With new updates trickling in throughout the week, the event should give fans and insiders alike the answers they’re anxious for. The release let fans know the event will be available to watch on the “Being the Elite” YouTube channel. More notably, it listed Brandi Rhodes as the Chief Brand Office of AEW.

Brandi Rhodes has a master’s degree in broadcast journalism, and her husband, Cody Rhodes, was previously announced as AEW’s executive vice president, so it wasn’t hard to guess she would fill a role in the front office. It’s been confirmed Brandi will be a part of the new promotion’s women’s division, but she will also hold the same title that Stephanie McMahon holds in WWE. Rhodes took to Twitter to express her excitement in the new role.

This news comes on the heels of reports that Britt Baker will sign with All Elite Wrestling as well. This sets up even more intrigue in what this could mean for women’s wrestling in the fledgling promotion. Having a fellow woman and wrestler as an executive could be a good sign for their women’s division as well as the promotion as a whole.

Brandi has spent the last few years working on the indie circuit after leaving WWE in 2016. In that time she has worked shows for WCPW (now Defiant), Impact, and Ring of Honor, where she both wrestled and announced.

The Double Or Nothing rally will take place on Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. ES outside TIAA Bank Field in Parking Lot J. The event is free and open to the public. Fans can also watch it on YouTube, the official AEW Twitter page, the Young Bucks Facebook page, and Brandi Rhodes’ Instagram.
