On this week’s episode of AEW Rampage, Britt Baker and Ruby Soho met face-to-face in the ring to hype up their match for the AEW Women’s World Championship next week.
The back-and-forth barbs started quickly with Baker welcoming Soho to some “TV time”. Soho retorted with a stinging line of her own that sent the crowd wild, the commentators shocked and the champ stunned.
Not one to get put on blast like that Baker snapped back with her own gasp-inducing reply.
The segment ended with Baker attempting to blindside Soho with the title but the challenger ducked before taking the champion out.
Baker fled the scene as Soho stood proud with the championship raised above her head.
Ruby Soho challenges Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s World Championship on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York next week.
Also on the show, Anna Jay defeated the Bunny in singles action. Jay accompanied by Tay Conti took the match straight to the Bunny with a barrage of stiff shots.
The Bunny turned the tide after targeting Jay’s surgically repaired shoulder. However, Jay persevered and scored the pinfall with a schoolgirl rollup as Conti thwarted Penelope Ford‘s attempted interference.
After the match, Ford laid out both Jay and Conti with the brass knucks.
Jay will get a chance at revenge when she faces the Superbad Girl on next week’s edition of AEW Rampage.
