AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker revealed the two wrestlers she would love to face in the ring.
Speaking at the Steel City Comic Con, Baker was asked who are her dream opponents.
Baker revealed that not only are they dream opponents, but role models and wrestlers who paved the way for her.
Here’s what Baker said;
“Probably Bayley or Sasha [Banks], it’d have to be one of them. Those are two of my role models that I watched when I was first training to be a wrestler. That was five years ago. When I was training, they were main eventing NXT TakeOver. That was when the tides were turning and they kind of paved the way for my generation of wrestling. Even though they are still in my generation, they came before me.”
Sasha Banks vs Bayley is an iconic feud. Their matches at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and Respect are widely regarded as two of the best women’s wrestling matches ever.
Britt Baker emulated Banks and Bayley when she and Thunder Rosa headlined AEW Dynamite. Baker and Rosa made history as the first women to main event the show.
The AEW star finally reached the top of the mountain when she captured the women’s title. Baker defeated Hikaru Shida for the title in a thrilling encounter at this year’s Double or Nothing.
