Britt Baker triumphant as she retains against Kris Statlander at All Out

Dr. Britt Baker defended and successfully retained her AEW Women’s World Championship at All Out against Kris Statlander.

Heading into the match, Statlander had been undefeated in 2021 and was on quite the winning streak. It certainly was going to be no picnic for Baker and Statlander proved why.

Throughout the match, both women put everything on the line and the final sequence of the match showed that.

With a no-quit attitude, Statlander first kicked out of a Pittsburgh Sunrise and if that wasn’t enough she then kicked out immediately afterward following a curb stomp. Unfortunately for the challenger, Baker wasn’t done there as she applied the LockJaw to win the match.

This is Baker’s third successful defense since defeating Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing in May. She has also defeated Nyla Rose and Red Velvet. Statlander may have just been Baker’s hardest challenger to date, but her next one could spell trouble for her future as champion. Ruby Soho debuted in AEW and won the Casino Battle Royale later in the night, giving her the chance at a future title opportunity against the Doctor.
