It was confirmed that Big Swole would face her longtime enemy, Britt Baker in a Tooth and Nail Match at the Buy-In for AEW All Out. The match came about after Big Swole defeated Baker, Penelope Ford, and Rebel in a 3-on-1 handicap match last week.
During an interview with a Tony Schiavone, a highly intense Swole would announce the stipulation of the match.
The interview would be interrupted when Rebel, dressed as a pizza delivery driver, would deliver Schiavona a pizza. The awkwardness would end when Baker attacked Swole from behind with a crutch. To add insult to injury Baker would then rub Swole’s head and face in the pizza before slapping on Lockjaw.
This match has been three months in the making and featured some very entertaining segments. Baker and Swole have worked very hard in making their feud interesting and fresh given the small amount of time they have been given to do it. The fact that the match is only on the Buy In does both competitors a huge disservice. However, the stipulation is intriguing and it will be good to see Big Swole finally get her hands on Britt Baker after all this time.
Also on the show we saw Thuder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb.
This was a great match and easily the best of the night. Both competitors brought their technical A-Game from start to finish.
The back and forth match showed Rosa’s tenacity and viciousness throughout. Deeb put in a strong performance and proved that she can still go and wasn’t there to be squashed. The action was fast, fierce, and fantastic, a great showing from both wrestlers.
This made for one of the best women’s matches AEW has ever put on and puts further emphasis and excitement on Saturday’s title match.
Hikaru Shida vs. Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s World Championship promises to be one most anticipated matches of the year.
