It was made official on Saturday’s special night episode of Dynamite that the AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker will defend her title against Nyla Rose on Night Two of Fyter Fest. Rose has been the number one contender at the top of the women’s rankings for the past few weeks.
As tensions brew between the two, Vickie Guerrero has been pushing hard for her client to get this match. She stated last week that she will not be happy until the title is around Rose’s waist. The feud was fueled after Baker won the championship from Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing. Rose ruined Baker’s championship celebration ceremony.
Guerrero announces that Rose will be coming for the title at Fyter Fest but before that happens, there will be a match that she will be involved in. Dynamite returns to its normal Wednesday night timeslot this week, June 30, and Guerrero will be teaming with Rose to face Baker and Rebel.
Fyter Fest Night 2 for the championship bout takes place on July 21. Rose is a former AEW Women’s World Champion when she defeated the inaugural champion Riho and went on to hold the title for 101-days. Will Rose make Baker’s title reign short or will the D.M.D. continue to stay on the top of the division?
On this Saturday edition of Dynamite, Kris Statlander picked up a win against The Bunny after hitting the Big Bang Theory.
