For the first time in AEW history, the women will main event!
Just announced, Dr. Britt Baker will take on Thunder Rosa in the Dynamite main event next Thursday in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match – Anything Goes. This will be on a special night and be AEW’s St. Patrick’s Day Slam.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently had a post-media interview after Revolution and stated that a women’s main event was coming very soon. And here it is.
Baker and Rosa have had a heated rivalry for a number of months now. They battled at Beach Break in February with Baker getting the victory. They battled each other at the Buy In for Revolution in tag team action. Baker teamed with Maki Itoh and defeated Rosa once again alongside Riho.
On tonight’s Dynamite there was a six-woman tag match that saw Thunder Rosa, Ryo Mizunami & AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida defeat Britt Baker, Maki Itoh, and Nyla Rose. Rosa was attacked after the match.
Can Rosa get some payback next week in the first women’s main event for AEW?
We will also get a second women’s match on the show as Jade Cargill will be in action.
