Brooke Adams apologizes for transphobic comments

Former TNA Knockout and three-time Knockouts Champion Brooke Adams provided an apology earlier in the week as a result of transphobic comments that she made on her social media.

Indie wrestler Lola Starr asked Adams to explain her comments made about the feminine hygiene brand Always and their products being rebranded to be inclusive to transgender and nonbinary consumers. For those that do not know, the brand is removing the female symbol from their packaging.

Below is the original post by Adams that struck up the controversy amongst fans.

The situation drew the ire of many on Twitter and led to Adams apologizing for her comments. She stated that she didn’t realize her comments would hurt others because she has friends in the LGBTQ community and they aren’t offended by her words. She also stated that she is a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ community.

After she had apologized for her remarks, Starr acknowledged her apology and appreciated it.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Adams has struck a chord against the transgender community. A fan also pointed out how she has made comments before in regards to transgender women in sports.
