4. Jade vs Rosemary (c)
Last Knockout Standing Match
Knockout Championship
Impact March 2, 2017
Jade and Rosemary had a bitter rivalry towards the end of 2016 that propelled itself forward into the year 2017. They participated in not just one match with a hardcore stipulation, but three. The first match was a six sides of steel cage match that occurred on the December 1st episode of Impact which saw Rosemary capture her first Knockout’s Championship during a vacant time of the title history. If this brutal match wasn’t enough for these two women their feud reemerged in a Monster Ball match in January of 2017. After Rosemary defeated Jade a second time and retained her title she felt like she was done with her adversary. Jade made it clear that she was not finished with Rosemary yet.
Jade faced off against Rosemary a third and final time in a Last Knockout Standing match in March of 2017 to round out one of the most memorable feuds of past few years. This match also put Rosemary’s title on the line. The match didn’t take long to get underway. As Rosemary was making her way down the ramp, Jade wasted little time to start the match. Both ladies traded punches on the ramp with Jade getting the upper hand momentarily from a suicide dive on her opponent. Rosemary is the first woman to get the count from the official as a result of a couple suplexes that keep the demon assassin off her feet, but only until the count of five.
Rosemary ends up bringing the weapons into the match in the form of a trash can and a kendo stick. Rosemary capitalizes with the trash can first as she hits what is known to by WWE fans as “coast to coast” on Jade in the corner. Jade gets back to her feet by the count of six and goes on the offense. She is able to utilize the kendo stick to her advantage and follows that up with a powerbomb of Rosemary through the trash can. Rosemary uses her mist to her advantage after a leap off the top rope from Jade is halted. After the mist, Jade is very disoriented throughout the rest of the match. After finding a bottle of water from under the ring, she uses that to rinse out her eyes and then uses it as her own form of mist to blind Rosemary, but just for a moment.
Rosemary uses her finishing maneuver, red wedding, three times throughout the match. Once in the ring, once outside the ring, and the final one is on the top of the ramp. After a combination of a second mist blinding Jade for a second time and the third red wedding, Rosemary was the one who was able to stand by the count of 10 to retain her title.
