Carmella & Queen Zelina will be defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38.
The challenge was laid down by Naomi and Sasha Banks on the Feb. 25 episode of SmackDown and on this week’s Raw, the champions agreed to the challenge. Despite the tag titles changing hands three times since last year’s WrestleMania, this will be the first time the gold has been defended on a premium live event since WrestleMania 37.
Carmella & Queen Zelina are currently approaching 100 days as champions as they defeated Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. on a Raw episode in November. The champs last defended against Ripley and Nikki in a rematch on Jan 3.
This is the third women’s championship match added to the WrestleMania card. It is unknown at this time what night this match will be on, but it will most likely be on Sunday, April 3. Confirmed for Night One on Saturday, April 2 is Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship as well as Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
