On tonight’s SmackDown, NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair took advantage of the Brand to Brand Invitation where she was invited to the blue brand. Flair stated that it was understandable that FOX Network would want her as she went through her resume in the ring as per usual. The self-admiration stopped once Bayley‘s music hit as she was followed by Sasha Banks.
Flair spent a lot of time trying to speak to Banks much to the chagrin of the SmackDown Women’s Champion who kept trying to get the Queen out of her ring on her show. Bayley reminded Flair the last time she saw her she beat her to become the current and two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. She states that she has gone through everyone, including Flair.
Flair made some valid points in regard to Banks currently being an afterthought and how she seems to be content by that. The resume for Banks was brought in also by Flair and the Queen simply wondered why The Boss couldn’t speak for herself. Bayley continued to not allow her best friend to not speak which resulted in the wheels turning in Banks’ mind.
Bayley challenged Flair for a Champion vs. Champion match as long as she is going to be in her ring. Flair agreed to it and it is set for next week.
Banks will undoubtedly be in Bayley’s corner, but with Charlotte poking the bear we may see the best friends implode sooner rather than later.
