As it was previously reported, WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair underwent surgery to repair a ruptured implant. She has been out of action for the past month but during a recent interview on Conversations with Maria Menounos podcast, Flair discussed the nature of her injury:
”A couple months ago, I kept having this pain behind my shoulder blade and I was like ‘this is not normal.’ I did all my stretching, I did all the shoulder stability exercises that my trainer told me to do, like our trainers on the road… well, I finally went and had a mammogram and an ultrasound and the doctor said that I just had free floating silicone all in my chest from both implants. I ruptured both implants, is exactly what they would call it. So I just said ‘I’ve got a lot of big things coming up.’ Like, I knew I had WrestleMania, I knew I had the Body Issue, I just wasn’t going to say anything, could I just wait? And I finally got to have them re-done a little over four weeks ago. I just waited that long but the pain just got worse. I got sick a few times, so that might have been from it, like the silicone had gone all the way into my armpit.”
Flair later revealed that she’ll be medically cleared by the end of July:
“He said I would be cleared July 31. I definitely am going to work July 31. It’s so hard, like even watching the pay-per-view last night, I’m like ‘I’m out for not a legitimate injury.’ I mean, it’s legitimate. Like, it was making me sick… it was dangerous, but it’s just like I did it. I kept thinking ‘you did this to yourself at 21.’ I know, my body needed a break and it’s like, let them miss you, let the fans miss you, whatever. But it’s just… like… I’m sitting out because of my ta-tas!”
