Charlotte Flair seeks retribution against The Riott Squad

Tonight on SmackDown (Feb 6th), Charlotte Flair got some payback against the Riott Squad after defeating Liv Morgan in a one-on-one match. The match came together after the group ambushed the SmackDown Women’s Champion in a three-on-one attack last week.

Flair started off by charging Morgan to a corner, where she thrashes in hard kicks to the midsection. As the referee creates separation, Morgan slips to the outside but Flair stays in pursuit, all while keeping a close eye on the other members of the Riott Squad, Ruby Riott, and Sarah Logan.

When we return from a break, Morgan is in control over Flair and throws her headfirst to a top turnbuckle. Flair gets the knee up to block off Morgan and begins to make a comeback with hard chops. A slam and big boot combination brings Morgan down, setting up for a top rope moonsault.

Morgan manages to avoid this by pulling Flair off the turnbuckle before she could get to the top. Morgan follows up by using the corner to hit an elevated stomp to Flair’s back, earning a two count over the champion. Morgan keeps Flair grounded with a submission but Flair counters by getting to her feet and setting up for an Electric Chair Drop to escape.

Morgan reverses with a roll up for another two count. Flair connects a neck breaker on Morgan and takes her down with a spear. She hits another spear on Logan who tries to cause a distraction by jumping onto the ring apron. Meanwhile in the ring, Riott saves Morgan by pulling her to the outside. The referee catches this and ejects both Logan and Riott to the back.

Flair tosses Morgan back in the ring, where Morgan misses an enziguri. Flair runs the ropes for a big boot and then locks in the Figure Eight to pick up the win.

After getting the win, Flair headed to the announcement table where she said “That’s one down, two to go.”.
