Tonight on SmackDown Live, Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

The back and forth match saw both women compete inside and outside the ring, When the action spilled outside, the Superstars made the most of the outside environment to inflict some damage – Charlotte tossing Natalya to the barricade early on and Natalya targeting Charlotte’s back with a powerbomb to the ring post.

As the Superstars found their way back inside the ring, Natalya was able to lock in the Sharpshooter but Charlotte was able toughen it out and break the hold. Charlotte would then find an opening to lock in the Figure Eight that and force Natalya to tap out.

Post match, Charlotte gave a celebratory speech, saying that she dedicated tonight’s win to her father Ric Flair but the Hall of Famer made a surprise appearance to congratulate his daughter on her big victory.
With the win, Charlotte Flair makes history as the first woman to have held the WWE Divas, NXT, Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

This also now means that Charlotte Flair will represent SmackDown at Survivor Series in a Champion vs. Champion match against the Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss.
