Nia Jax had a chance to become RAW Women’s Champion by showing that she could pin the champion Charlotte Flair two weeks in a row. This objective kept becoming more and more less likely from the very beginning of the match as Shayna Baszler was very much involved.
From before the sound of the bell, Baszler was interfering in the championship match and distracting her own tag team partner. At one point she went to go after Flair who made it out of dodge which almost caused Baszler to run right into Jax.
The end of the match would have Baszler jump on the ring apron once again and distract Jax enough that Flair executed a Natural Selection out of the corner and off the ropes. Flair gets the pin as Baszler walks off with Jax following.
This wasn’t the end for Flair, however, someone who wanted to say ‘hi’ to her a few weeks ago was back. Alexa Bliss showed up on the screen and invited Flair to her Playground. She said Lilly really wanted her to come and also bring one of her robes, she likes those. The Queen wasn’t entertaining Bliss and her doll which made Alexa say that she was going to bring the Playground to her instead.
After the lights flickered, Bliss and Lilly appeared in the ring behind Flair. Flair knew that there was clearly something that Bliss wanted so she came right out and asked her. Alexa pointed to the RAW Women’s Championship.
Flair seemed to accept the challenge but she made it clear that it is actually her Playground and not Bliss’.
The other women’s match of the week was a tag team match between the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Natalya & Tamina against the newly makeshift team of Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. Ever since the two former RAW Women’s Champions no longer have singles gold around their waist, they may have the tag titles in their sights.
Natalya & Tamina haven’t won as a team since the July 26 episode of RAW against Doudrop & Eva Marie. With that being said, and Natalya recently returning from a quick turnaround from surgery, the champions were losing to Shotzi & Tegan Nox on SmackDown prior to that July date.
Now, Ripley & Nikki have defeated the tag champs as well. Two teams have wins under their names against the champions, so we are all just waiting for when a championship match will take place in some form.
Doudrop was interviewed backstage in regards to her recent win against Eva Marie. She was asked if she is finished with Eva Marie or was there more to come. A rematch between the two take place next week.
