In a report by Fightful Select per their WWE sources, Chelsea Green has re-signed with WWE in a new multi-year deal. Green was last seen in her debut on SmackDown in November where she suffered an injury to her wrist in a Fatal 4-way match. Her current contract is said to expire this summer but she has now signed the extension.
Green originally signed in 2018. She suffered a similar injury at the time of her NXT debut which had her sidelined for several months. As far as her current timeline it has been reported that she is ready to get back in the ring but nothing has been confirmed.
Prior to joining the SmackDown roster there were several storylines for Green that were reportedly nixed. She was a member of the Robert Stone Brand in NXT before firing Stone after a win alongside Charlotte Flair as they defeated the team of Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai.
Although she hasn’t captured gold in WWE as of yet, Green is a former IMPACT Knockouts Champion under the name of Laurel Van Ness. She held the title for 65-days before dropping it to Allie.
Green nor WWE have confirmed her re-signing at this time.
