CJ Perry states that she is finished with the AEW promotion after a short run.
Perry came into AEW in 2023 with an on-screen grudge against then-husband Miro. She aligned herself with Andrade before he left AEW to return to WWE. Perry turned on Andrade in his match against Miro at AEW Worlds End on December 30.
Perry has been offscreen for the past six months or so and prior to that was dealing with a MRSA infection. She spoke recently with USA Today about her current status.
[My] time with them has just finished,” Perry said.
She does clarify that she wants to still be in the business as a manager.
“I’m really focused on finding talent and cultivating them and helping them become the best wrestler, champion possible. I guess you could say I want to be the Paul Heyman.”
