Roxanne Perez continues her reign as NXT Women’s Champion on the CW Network launch episode on Oct. 1. She opened the show as she was challenged by Giulia.
Prior to the match, Shawn Michaels unveiled a brand new NXT Women’s Title belt.
The match was as fast paced and high energy as expected and was deserving to kick off the show. The final moments had fans angry, as a hooded individual appeared at ringside. She hit Giulia with a DDT on the floor behind the referee’s back. This allowed Perez to hit Giulia with a second Pop Rox to pick up to the pinfall and retain the gold.
After the bell rings, fans find out it is a returning Cora Jade as she reveals herself.
Jade has been out of action with an injury since January, her last match was a victory over Gigi Dolin.
