The countdown to this year’s WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 (really 55) matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this year’s event. You can check out the full list so far at the bottom of this article.
Now onto 16 & 15!
NOTE: It is getting extremely hard to pick the rest of this list and rank them as there are really no “bad matches” left.
16. WrestleMania 31
AJ Lee & Paige def. The Bella Twins
Our second to last time ever seeing AJ Lee in a WWE ring! We just didn’t fully know!
The short build up to this was enjoyable as AJ return from a hiatus to nurse her pre-existing neck injury. The Bellas had the numbers on Paige until AJ returned to even the odds.
I will always remember this timeline.
15. WrestleMania 40
Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair def. Damage CTRL
The presentation of this match was insane! And to see six beautiful women of color in a WrestleMania match was perfection. The entrance for the Big 3 was Superbowl worthy and to see where we are now just a year later is crazy.
Just an overall fun match. And for Damage CTRL to get two Mania matches in back-to-back years was a joy to watch.
