Coming off of a successful NXT TakeOver: Portland, Dakota Kai won in her brutal Street Fight against Tegan Nox. Nox was mere moments from putting away Kai for the victory, however, a debuting Raquel Gonzalez stopped that result.
Just moments ago on NXT, Kai and Gonzalez were being interviewed backstage. Gonzalez explained her actions. She understood how Kai has been feeling lately. Kai was ignored by all of her friends leading up to TakeOver: WarGames in November.
Gonzalez empathizes with her as she too has felt left behind in the Performance Center.
NXT General Manager William Regal interrupted the interview. He congratulated Kai on her victory from Portland but had some bad news to deliver.
Although Gonzalez and Kai have agreed to have each other’s backs, in two weeks there will be no help from the newly formed team. Kai will be facing Nox isolated in a Steel Cage match.
