Just after five days, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are back home with Damage CTRL. This makes them now two-time champs. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated Alexa Bliss and Asuka to regain the championships at Crown Jewel with the help of Nikki Cross. Bayley was not at ringside to help Damage CTRL as she has her own match at the event.
Bliss and Asuka shockingly defeated Damage CTRL on the Oct. 31 episode of Raw. The four women did battle once again at Crown Jewel and prior to the match, Bliss and Asuka had a backstage interview. During the segment, the Bray Wyatt graphics showed up on the TV screen which Bliss showed a reaction to.
The match itself was well executed among all competitors. As the conclusion was reached, Asuka tried to keep SKY on the outside to prevent her to get in to help Kai. Kai was set up for a Twisted Bliss as Bliss was heading up top to deliver her finisher. Nikki Cross would arrive and knocked down Bliss before delivering a swinging neck breaker. Kai would then take advantage and pin Bliss to regain the championships for herself and SKY.
Cross would run away from ringside as the new champions celebrated.
This marks the first time a women’s championship has changed hands at an event in Saudi Arabia.
