Dana Brooke is once again 24/7 Champion AND retained it against Becky Lynch on the June 6 edition of Raw. (yes, you read that right)
The opening match had Brooke vs. Lynch squaring off in singles competition. Mere seconds after the bell rang, now-former 24/7 Champion Akira Tozawa was being chased by the usual suspects in the hunt for gold. Tozawa entered the ring in which Brooke would pin him becoming a five-time champ. Brooke lost the title to Tozawa on last week’s Raw.
Lynch quickly took to the mic and said that nobody is going to be winning a championship in her matches anymore except for her. She stated that the 24/7 Championship will now be on the line and warned the rest of the talent at ringside to not interfere or she would smash their faces.
Back from a commercial break, the Superstars who were at ringside were now gone. The match between Lynch and Brooke continued. After delivering a couple of Bexploders, Asuka‘s music hits which distracts Big Time Becks as she heads to the ring.
Lynch went to swing for Asuka who was on the ring apron but missed. Brooke went to take advantage and roll up Lynch but only got a near fall. Moments later, Brooke went for a senton from the top rope but Lynch moved out of the way just in time.
Lynch went for the ManHandle Slam but Brooke countered for a pin. They were close enough to the ropes that Asuka could hold down Lynch’s foot to assist with the big win for Brooke.
Asuka celebrates on the outside of the ring as Brooke hightails it up the ramp.
Brooke’s exclusive post-match is shown below.
