It has been confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that Dana Brooke has been released by WWE. This news comes just hours after the main roster cuts involved Emma and Aliyah.
Brooke had been with WWE for a decade when she signed a contract in 2013. Brooke had her time on both Raw and SmackDown after being called up from NXT in 2016. She initially joined Raw as a tag team with Emma but due to an injury to Emma, Brooke would become the protege of Charlotte Flair. She also served as the accountant for Titus World Wide in 2017.
Brooke competed in multiple Royal Rumbles, Money in the Bank’s and became a 15 time 24/7 Champion. She held the second longest combined total number of days in her 15 reigns at 335.
Brooke returned to NXT in June to take part in a number one contender battle royal. This was won by Thea Hail. Brooke would stay in NXT and get a protege of her own Kelani Jordan and weekly become more and more of a heel. Her last match was on the Sept. 12 episode where she was defeated by Lyra Valkyria.
It has also been confirmed that Quincy Elliot, Bryson Montana, Mace, Mansoor, Shanky, and Dabba Kato have been released.
Diva Dirt sends our best wishes to Dana Brooke and anything the wishes to do in the future.
