Ranking #10 – Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville
Last Week – 12
With a title match already secured, the tandem of Green and Deville would face off against Michin and Candice LeRae on RAW and come away with another victory as a team!
The duo would confront the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and the segment would end with Green throwing water over Liv Morgan and retreating.
Jump to Smackdown and we receive the title match that saw Green and Deville try every trick in the book to try and win those titles, which goes a long way in adding some importance to them so kudos for that.
The champs would retain however by giving Green a taste of her own medicine with water to the face and a leverage pin. Now, Deville has been very vocal on social media about getting a rematch so hopefully we get one at Backlash!
Ranking #9 – Bianca Belair
Last Week – N/A
October 24th 2022.
That was the last time that Bianca Belair lost a match on WWE television. The RAW Women’s Champion continues to bat away challengers who then disappear (Alexa Bliss and Asuka, we miss you) but she has a new challenge already in the wings in the form of IYO SKY.
Never without Damage CTRL, SKY would be at ringside as Belair defeated Dakota Kai one on one and not much else happened between champion and challenger but it remains a must see match that we are excited for.
Ranking #8 – The Outcasts
Last Week – 7
The Outcasts managed to be featured across Dynamite this week and managed to complete the heinous heel act of beating down a wrestler in their hometown.
After losing earlier in the night to Britt Baker and AEW Women’s Champion, Jamie Hayter, The Outcasts would target a solo Baker in a later segment after she slapped Chris Jericho.
Outnumbered and outgunned, Baker would be viciously beat down while Adam Cole was forced to watch. Baker was left with a nasty bruise as a war wound while The Outcasts, particularly Saraya, continue to torment her on social media.
Ranking #7 – Britt Baker
Last Week – N/A
Although it was technically a tag team match, Britt Baker almost won this match single handedly after Jamie Hayter went down with an apparent injury.
With the hometown crowd firmly behind her, Baker would endure an onslaught from The Outcasts before finally taking down Ruby Soho and coming out the winner.
Later in the night, Baker would confront Jericho and slap him across the face, bringing out The Outcasts who got their own revenge for the earlier loss.
Ranking #6 – Masha Slamovich
Last Week – N/A
Slamovich went in to Rebellion as the female member of Team Bully, an alliance she joined several weeks ago.
Regardless of size or gender, everyone was throwing hands at everyone in this match and Slamovich seemed to relish in the carnage as she marched out with chair in hand.
Team Bully would be ultimately unsuccessful in the match and Slamovich would be taken out by a piledriver from Tommy Dreamer but the brutality speaks for itself and why she is on the list. Impact has a star here just waiting for her chance.
Ranking #5 – Killer Kelly
Last Week – N/A
Beating out Slamovich by one spot simply because her team was victorious is Killer Kelly. Both women brought their all to this match with Kelly being the first of the two to enter and she would bring a staple gun of all things with her.
Mixing it up with her male opponents as much as Slamovich, Kelly would aid in a high risk table spot to help clear the playing field and get her hand raised at the end.
Ranking #4 – The Coven
Last Week – 11
And STILL Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
If there’s one thing that WWE and Impact have in common it’s sometimes they both miss the mark with booking their women’s tag team divison. The Coven have offered a breath of fresh air in way of new champions and have been regularly appearing since they won the titles from the Death Dollz.
At Rebellion, they gave Death Dollz a rematch and would once again retain the titles after Taylor Wilde would take out Rosemary. Where they go from here as a tag team remains to be seen but Wilde has already set her eyes on our new Knockouts Champion and the two will meet this coming week.
Ranking #3 – Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez
Last Week – 1
In keeping with the theme of successful title defences, Morgan and Rodriguez remain in the top five after beating their first challengers for the belts on Smackdown.
It may have needed some fighting fire with fire but the duo remained strong in their first reign as a team but Deville and Green are still on their tail, demanding a rematch.
Much like The Coven on Impact, the ground is pretty thin for tag teams so hopefully the WWE Draft brings even more teams to the main roster for Morgana and Rodriguez.
Ranking #2 – Trish Stratus
Last Week – 3
Trish Stratus, sorry HEEL Trish Stratus, remains to be one of the strongest workers on the mic across the WWE.
Any segment she had back in her day where she held a microphone was guaranteed to evoke a reaction from the crowd and she delivered everything with the right level of snark and confidence befitting of her character.
It was a treat to see her deliver one such promo this past week on RAW and while there were glimmers of the 2004-2005 era Stratus in there, it felt different enough to establish that this was a more mature and colder Stratus as she delivered her own home-truths.
To still be evolving her promo work at this stage is a testament to the worker that Stratus is and we continue to enjoy her presence week after week.
Ranking #1 – Deonna Purrazzo
Last Week – N/A
An unfortunate injury meant we were guaranteed a new Knockouts Champion after Rebellion as Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo would meet in the ring.
The match would spill out around the ring and feature many close calls, both being former champions knew exactly what it would take to hold the gold again.
Ultimately, Purrazzo would get the victory and enter her third reign as champion but her first as a face. There is some depth to the roster including Gisele Shaw, Tasha Steelz, Jody Threat, Masha Slamovich, Killer Kelly and others, all who could give Purrazzo a decent run for her money.
First, the champion must contend with Taylor Wilde of The Coven this week.
What do you make of our rankings this week? Who would you switch about or replace altogether? Let us know in the comments!
