DD Power 15: Aug. 06 to Aug. 12

Ranking #15 – Billie Starkz

An up and coming talent (and one to watch for the rest of the year) is Billie Starkz who picked up an impressive win this week against one of the Renegades.

Her matches regularly deliver as a true demonstration of in-ring skill as she has appeared on ROH and AEW but she often hasn’t had much storyline. This looks to change as this week The Renegade Twins would attack Starkz following their match and Athena, of all people, would make the save.

Ranking #14 – Dana Brooke

After seeing what Blair Davenport did in her match to Roxanne Perez recently, few would look to get on her bad side but Dana Brooke has developed a new fire as of late.

Davenport would put away Kelani Jordan in singles action but Brooke would step in and chase off Davenport, using her own belt as a weapon.

Backstage, Brooke would snap at Jordan while encouraging her to learn from Brooke and what the fans have done to her. This week, Brooke will face off against Davenport as a way of showing Jordan the aggressiveness she needs to tap into.

Ranking #13 – Blair Davenport

Ignoring how she left the arena after her match, Davenport still picked up a victory and already has her next match scheduled as she looks to face Dana Brooke this coming week.

Fresh off an impressive match at Great American Bash and straight in to a new program is indicative of officials being high on Davenport which is encouraging to see. As for giving Brooke opportunities to show out in the ring, Davenport is an excellent partner to be thrown in there with.

Ranking #12 – Lyra Valkyria

Flashback to before Summerslam and we were all begging for somebody to step up to Rhea Ripley and give us a feud for the Women’s World Champion, enter Lyra Valkyria (and Raquel Rodriguez… and Candice LeRae).

Valkyria has had some interesting interactions with Ripley in recent weeks, in fact Valkyria almost seemed like the only woman in the entire WWE that Ripley respected but that all changed this week. Valkyria would confront Ripley backstage before making things physical with a brutal kick to close NXT this past week.

Ranking #11 – Jody Threat

Representing the Knockouts in the ring this week was Jody Threat and Alisha Edwards, which was quite refreshing to see as nearly every other Knockout is involved in a story/feud at present and still got time and progression this week. (Take note other promotions).

The match would end with some involvement from Mr Edwards and Frankie Kazarian at ringside but Threat would put away Alisha with her finisher and stand tall.
