Ranking #10 – Jacy Jayne
Last Week – 12
In arguably her first big test as a solo competitor, Jacy Jayne squared off with Indi Hartwell on this week’s episode of NXT.
The match gave Jayne the all important opportunity to prove how capable she can be when standing on her own two feet and while it may not have gone to plan, the taster we got shows that Jayne is not the weak link many have pegged her as.
Ranking #9 – Gigi Dolin
Last Week – N/A
Marking her first appearance on NXT since Jayne kicked her through a door, Gigi Dolin exploded on her former partner and cost her a decisive victory on NXT.
The NXT crowd erupted when they saw Dolin make her way to the ring and stood firmly behind her as she laid in to Jayne before she managed to escape.
The two are most definitely due to meet in the ring, likely at Roadblock, in the coming weeks.
Ranking #8 – Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey
Last Week – 15
Shayna Baszler did the heavy lifting for this pair after taking on Natalya on this week’s Smackdown. The pair were thwarted from following up with further insult to injury by Tegan Nox and it appears the two pairings will compete next week.
Rousey is not just satisified with Smackdown however after taking to Twitter to blast the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Damage CTRL, for not defending their titles.
As of now, her tweet has already caught the attention of Bayley who should be focused on the upcoming title match on RAW.
Ranking #7 – Gisele Shaw
Last Week – N/A
In the pre-show of No Surrender, Deonna Purrazzo finally faced off with Gisele Shaw after weeks of throwing insults, threats (and chilli) back and forth.
Shaw would find herself at the mercy of The Virtuosa in the closing moments but as the ref was distracted by Jai Vidal, we saw the surprising decision made by Savannah Evans who took out Purrazzo and seemingly aligned herself with Gisele Shaw.
Shaw would celebrate the much needed victory, seemingly bemused but thankful for Evans assist.
Ranking #6 – Ruby Soho
Last Week – 5
For weeks, her loyalty has been called in to question but Ruby Soho has made it quite clear what her intentions are.
On Dynamite, Soho would hit the ring during the many encounters of Hayter/Baker vs Saraya/Storm but made it clear she was interested in AEW Women’s Champion, Hayter.
Then on Rampage, Soho would make the save for Willow Nightingale after her loss to Toni Storm and would again indicate for the title.
Jamie Hayter has heard her loud and clear and Soho will get her wish, kind of, at Revolution when she faces Saraya and Hayter for the title.
Ranking #5 – Saraya & Toni Storm
Last Week – N/A
Both members of this pairing were in singles action this week and both picked up vital wins with Saraya taking out Skye Blue and Toni Storm silencing Willow Nightingale.
Both matches saw the pair attempt to brand their victims but were interrupted by the AEW Women’s Champion, Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker, followed by Ruby Soho.
In an attempt to deal with two birds with one stone, Jamie Hayter has thrown down the challenge and will meet Ruby Soho and Saraya at Revolution. This marks the first title match for Saraya since 2016.
Ranking #4 – Asuka
Last Week – 1
The No.1 Contender to the RAW Women’s Championship would continue her winning ways since her return at the Royal Rumble by tapping out the unpredictable Nikki Cross.
Our opponent at Wrestlemania, RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, would come out mid-match and serve as an unintentional(?) distraction to her challenger but Asuka still got the win. After the match champion would meet challenger and neither seemed willing to back down until the blue mist would literally leak out of Asuka as she cackled.
An uncomfortable Belair will get another opportunity to scout this threat to her reign as Asuka will take on Carmella this week on RAW.
Ranking #3 – The Death Dollz
After being blindsided weeks ago, The Death Dollz came in to No Surrender with revenge on their mind.
Rosemary would be in their corner while Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka would defend the Knockouts Tag Team titles against The Hex.
In the end it would come down to Jessicka with the overwhelming power to put away her opponents and get the victory for her team. The Death Dollz are currently sitting at over 140 days as champions and counting.
Ranking #2 – Becky Lynch & Lita
Last Week – Becky Lynch at 10, Lita – N/A
Could this be the future heading in to Wrestlemania?
Lita caused a rumble when she appeared to neutralise Damage CTRL a few weeks ago and this week was no different when she would once again side with Becky Lynch and issue a challenge to the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The challenge was thrown down in a way that was hard for Bayley to refuse as the duo would interrupt Ding Dong, Hello! live on RAW. The champions were so stunned that they could no nothing but watch as Lita and Lynch raised the titles above their heads and the match was made official for this coming RAW.
Ranking #1 – Mickie James
Last Week – N/A
Firing up to the top of the ranking this week is the only singles champion across WWE, NXT, AEW and Impact to not only wrestle this week but to also successfully defend her title in the joint main event of No Surrender.
Mickie James had been preoccupied as of late with not only Bully Ray but also addressing her previous match with Jordynne Grace. Heading in to No Surrender, it seemed James was woefully unprepared for her champion as Slamovich continued to have the last laugh in their encounters.
James would survive via the same tenacity and durability we’ve seen throughout her career after surprising Slamovich with sneaky pin that let her fight another night.
What do you make of this week’s action across Women’s Wrestling? Who would be in your No.1 spot?
