Welcome to this week’s Power 15 Rankings curated by us here at Diva-Dirt. This week we are reviewing women’s action across several companies.
As well as the 15 women featured, two wildcards will be featured each week chosen by Nick and Gary. These wildcards are for women who didn’t quite make the ranking but are ones to watch for the week ahead. Without further ado, let’s get in to it.
Please Note: This list is subjective to us at Diva Dirt. We encourage our readers for respectful and enjoyable conversations.
Gary’s Wildcard – Tatum Paxley
One thing NXT usually excels in is the building up of other women outside of the title picture and letting us see them grow. While Tatum Paxley has not received the only praise that Sol Ruca has, for example, there is no denying that she is one of the best examples of what the Performance Center can produce.
In recent weeks, Paxley has seemed somewhat involved in the NXT Parking Lot attacks whether that’s as a concerned member of the roster or someone more directly linked remains to be seen.
There are rumours circulating that the tandem of Ivy Nile and Paxley will be breaking up soon so I suspect we will see Paxley break out on her own soon.
Nick’s Wildcard – AZM
This past week saw AZM defend her High Speed Championship for the 10th successful time, marking history as the first women to do so. The most successful defences before belonged to Mayu Iwatani in 2015-2016.
In her second reign as champion, AZM has held the title for over a year and earlier this month made news by challenging Mercedes Monè. With another title defense under her belt, AZM (and women’s wrestling fans) looks forward to her date with Mercedes.
