Ranking #15 – Maxxine Dupri
While Valhalla may have walked away with the upper hand (and her jacket) Maxxine makes the Power 15 for continuing to be one of the highlights for women’s wrestling fans on RAW.
Her weekly segments with Alpha Academy while her continued progression as an in-ring competitor makes for entertaining TV. With the debut of her own titantron and theme, it seems we can expect more from Maxxine with a singles match against Valhalla likely on the horizon.
Ranking #14 – Cora Jade
Cora Jade continues to antagonise and provoke the women of the NXT locker room, her most recent target being the returning Dana Brooke who fell to Jade last week.
This week, Jade would face Brooke’s new ally Kelani Jordan and come away with yet another win. Jade’s abrasive attitude would come back to bite her however as Brooke would come swinging with Jade’s own kendo stick and send her fleeing.
Ranking #13 – Shotzi
While she may not have appeared in person this week, Shotzi became one of the talking points of Smackdown this past week after a promo aired of her confronting Damage CTRL.
The previous week saw Shotzi lose to Bayley and after confronting her backstage, she would be overwhelmed by Bayley and IYO SKY, resulting in Bayley chopping off Shotzi’s hair. This week, Shotzi would finish the job and shave her head completely as a sign that Damage CTRL cannot control her.
Shotzi’s personal reasons for doing this in support of her sister also speaks volumes for her heart and character.
Ranking #12 – Shayna Baszler
While WWE may be trying to frame Shayna Baszler as the heel in this new feud with Ronda Rousey, depending on how you look at it, the WWE universe have been more in support of Baszler in recent weeks.
Despite turning on her long-time friend and delivering a scathing promo, Baszler has been cheered for her actions. This week, she and Rousey would come to blows once more after Baszler dispatched Emma.
Summerslam seems to be the likely battleground for the two and it will be interesting to see who the crowd continues to root for.
Ranking #11 – Tiffany Stratton
The NXT Women’s Champion was in a must-win situation this week after only retaining her title thanks to a distracted referee who missed her tapping out.
Her opponent was the only other women in the locker room who had had a worse week after Ivy Nile lost her teammates, The Creed Brothers. Stratton and Nile would battle back and forth with Stratton only just narrowly avoiding Nile’s Dragon Sleeper before hitting the PME.
Stratton would try to put the NXT crowd in their place but the jeers from the crowd would eventually drown her out as a ‘you tapped out’ chant is left ringing in her ears.
