Hello everyone, happy Friday! Tonight, CMLL had their crossover show with AEW/ROH talent at La Arena México.
They had the fatal four-way qualifier match to open the show. The match was between Reyna Isis, Persephone, the Mexican National Women’s Champion Sanely, and the CMLL World Women’s Champion, Zeuxis.
In a fast-paced match, Persephone was able to win the fatal four-way with a superplex from the top rope on Reyna Isis. Dressed in red satin, Zeuxis got the first elimination with a package piledriver on Sanely.
Then La Flor Del Desierto was able to eliminate the CMLL women’s champion with an assisted leg drop from the second rope, moments later Persephone got the three count on Isis and was able to win her way into the Tokyio Dome.
Next, representing ROH, The Velvet Vixens, Viva Van and the ROH Women’s World Television Champion Red Velvet stirred their way to the ring. Las Chicas Indomables, La Jarochita and Lluvia made their way out dressed in red, representing México.
After a lot of near falls, Las Chicas Indomables were able to win on their return after an assisted drop-kick and a cornered kick to the face. Post match, Red Velvet cut a promo in spanish as they were getting booed by the fans. The Velvet Vixens announced that they would be back as many times as necessary to challenge for the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Championships.
The Virtuosa, Deonna Purrazzo, made her debut in CMLL and her return to México to face La Diva, La Catalina in a singles match.
Deonna made her way to the ring on her own, without her Vendetta partner, while la diva Chilena, did it in company of Kemonito.
They fought a hard-hitting match. Purrazzo showcased her prowess and was able to win with the Venus de Milo.
What a year for Persephone, congrats to her, if this is her break thru year
within CMLL the next one should be even bigger for her. With the tag titles being vacant theres a big area of opportunity for the Amazonians and the International talent.
