Deonna Purrazzo issues an open challenge; Digital Media Title changes hands

On this week’s IMPACT!, Deonna Purrazzo issued an open challenge for next week for one of her titles.

Purrazzo is currently a double champ as she is the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion along with the ROH Women’s World Champion. She has held the AAA Title since August when she defeated Faby Apache and the ROH Women’s Title since earlier this month when she battled Rok-C.

In a backstage interview, Purrazzo declares herself as THE Knockouts Division. Last week, the Knockouts World Champion Mickie James issued a state of address to the Knockouts. Purrazzo turned around stormed out from James’ speech. She goes on to list off her long list of accomplishments since becoming a Knockout and then issued the open challenge.

From two championships to another, Jordynne Grace defended her Digital Media Championship to kick off this week’s IMPACT! She faced Matt Cardona.

Commentary hyped up the interesting fact that Cardona has never gone one-on-one in his career in an intergender match. As a result, he seemed timid through most of the match. However, that was a ploy as the end result spoke otherwise. As the match came to a close, Cardona found himself out of the ring and he landed by where the Digital Media Title belt was laying at the timekeeper’s area. He used the belt as a distraction for the referee before hitting Grace with a chair. He followed up with Radio Silence and put away Grace with a pin to get the victory and become the new champion.

Grace was the inaugural Digital Media Champion for the intergender title and she won the belt at Bound for Glory. She held it for 90-days.
