IMPACT Wrestling’s Hardcore Justice took place tonight and offered up a surprise new number one contender, a shocking return and the end of a legendary wrestling career.
Tenille Dashwood was the surprise winner of the six-woman Weapons Match. The match was full of fun and crazy spots. But before the action got underway the Undead Bride Su Yung made her return to IMPACT.
Dashwood made her exit as Su Yung entered the ring and it wasn’t long before the things got hardcore. Edwards got hold of a staplegun and used it on both Dashwood and her assistant Kaleb. Jordynne Grace planted Edwards on a trashcan as mayhem involving chairs, kendo sticks and thumbtacks happened all around ringside.
Havok cleaned house and took Grace out with a roundhouse kick before her former partner Neveah popped up and chucked powder in her face. The attack allowed Grace to hit a Vader Bomb put Kaleb dragged her out and planted a superkick on her chin allowing Dashwood to pick up the surprise win.
After the fun and wackiness of the Weapons Match, it was time to get too serious with the Title vs Career match. Jazz‘s career was on the line against Deonna Purrazzo‘s Knockouts Championship.
The match started with the Virtuoso in control. Purrazzo excellently and methodically targetted and worked over the arm of Jazz. Any offence Jazz fired back was instantly countered by the champ with focus on the arm.
Jazz turned the tide with a big Facebuster and Samoan drop and vicious DDT on a steel chair for a breathtaking nearfall.
Purrazzo fired back with two big pumpkicks and an Expolder suplex. The champ followed up with the Gambit Piledriver for the win and to end Jazz’s career.
This was a very good with some superb limb work from Purrazzo and a great last stand from the Phenom Jazz.
After the match, Grace came out to console her friend and partner. If this really is the end for Jazz then this run in IMPACT has been a brilliant send-off. All that is left to say is #ThankYouJazz.
IMPACT announced that Tenille Dashwood will get her shot at the title againt Purrazzo on April 25th at Rebellion.
